AND WAIT FOR IT…..

We now have a website for our web series, Live from [Blank]! Check out our latest episode from Kansas, Missouri, and follow along! And if you’re up for a great laugh, watch Lulu and Alison on their Curateur Unboxing video!

Alison is more than obsessed with her new iPhone 13, she’s inspired!! Now feeling like a professional studio photographer, she’s making plans to film her next student film with her iPhone!

Keeping her long fingernails has unexpectedly caused Lulu to slow down to do things like typing. And this has made her become obsessed with the benefits of slowing things down. Namaste, sister & clickety click those keys…slowly.

Right on theme with Lulu’s Obsession, Alison wishes for a pedicure. I’m right there with ya, sister!

Lulu wishes a pair of cold compression sleeves for her legs. Now, this being my very favorite part of post knee surgery rehab, I just had to look them up for her. Here is a pair of the Normatec 2.0 sleeves.

Ready to rock her day in 10K style, Alison hired a stylist named Tamy, and gave her a budget of $2000 to get her up to 21 pieces to wear during her Los Cabos, Mexico trip! Part of her 10K ensemble included 3 pair of Los Cabos inspired sandals. She got the Ami Sandal, the Amanda Sandal, and the Corsica Boot, which this last one, Alison is certain she’d buy in real life too!

Staying at the Marquis Los Cabos in the Presidential Suite, she was treated to a suite decorated with art pieces and panoramic views of the Sea of Cortez from its expansive terraces! Anxious to have a little adventure before her morning coffee, Alison chose the Whale Shark Encounter, where she got to swim and snorkel with the 30-foot long gentle giants that feed on tiny plankton.

Ready for her morning jolt of caffeine, Alison went to Coffee Lab for some expensive, in-house roasted coffee sourced from the highest quality of Mexican growers. Next was a round of golf at Cabo del Sol but she had to re-think her idea to purchase a golf cart. Those suckers are way more expensive than you’d think! So, she chose a different, more tasty way to blow her 10K!!

She opted for a 24-carat tequila popsicle at $1000 a ‘pop’ instead!

Refreshed from the extravagant pop, Alison headed to the Camel Outback Adventure & Eco Farm where she was able to ride a camel along the beach and discover the Baja peninsula’s beautiful coastal scenery and enjoy traditional dishes, freshly made salsas, delicious homemade quesadillas.

Still feeling every bit of 10K, she decided to head back to the hotel for her candlelight four-course dinner, paired with a bottle of Taittinger champagne while she enjoyed the Los Cabos' sunset. And, having just enough left in her budget…she indulged herself in one more of those fabulous 24-carat tequila popsicles!

Ever in sync, these two besties created days that both included camels! This time, Lulu decided to tour the city of N’Djamena, Chad during the winter season on the grounds that it is cold and drier than its summer months. Ever the considerate Hufflepuff, Lulu opted for a Karkanji, the refreshing, must-try non-alcoholic beverage made using hibiscus flowers, clove, cinnamon, and ginger root, as to avoid drinking alcohol in public out of respect for the Muslim religion.

Lulu chose a Viator Tour that took care of a lot of the logistics that go along with safely traveling through a desert city. Her tour included an air-conditioned vehicle with a double spare tire, sand plates, tow cable and battery cables and other mechanical things, permits, entrance fees, accommodations and much more. What a bargain! They even provide Jerry Cans, which baffled all of us, but this is what they look like, ladies.

Prepared for the camel stench, Lulu brought along some Perfect Potion Pure Essential Oil- Eucalyptus, Mountain Rose Herbs- Citrus blend and Spray bottles to easily facilitate good scents! Normally she sprays the scents onto her hat so it is close to her nose, so she purchased a Sungrubbies Diego chin-strap Summer Hat.

Now, between the black camel water and all this sun, hydration is a big concern, so Lulu was prepared with Harmless Harvest Coconut Water and Smoothies. At Harmless Harvest, their goal is to use the entire coconut and to achieve the status of zero-waste.

With time clicking on, Lulu gave the Viator guides a budget to pick up some easy snack food for the vehicle so dinner was on the road!

Since Viator was taking care of all that important stuff for her, Lulu had to make sure she was decked out 10K style! And if you’re going to be ‘roughing’ it out in the desert, you must have Gucci driving glasses, Riparo driving gloves, a Garmin Marq Smartwatch and, of course, some great tunes for the adventure! So, she bought a Car Stereo w/GPS for the Toyota Land Cruiser.

Once she was all set up and ready to go, she adventured on to the Guelta d'Archei, literally an oasis for camels! Every day, hundreds of camels can be seen drinking the black water of the guelta, their grunts and bellows echoing around the canyon walls. The mostly knee-deep water has turned black over the years due to the incessant supply of excrement offloaded by the thirsty camels. So, maybe just bring your own drinking water, huh?

Alison was stoked to have the next day off after they recorded this. She was looking forward to staying in bed and not having to do a thing!

Lulu is happy that she and friend/talented pianist, Kyle and she were going to have a day of fun music making! And knowing those 2 talented people, we would’ve been lucky to hear it!
