In other news, we now have a website for our forthcoming web series, Live from [Blank]! Check it out as well as our youtube short videos, pretty please!

Alison is obsessed with practicing piano. She is using the Simply Piano app to feel like it’s a game that she could win. It’s making learning so easy for her competition-happy personality. Lulu is obsessed with her current endeavor…she is currently Marie Kondo-ing her wardrobe. She is hoping to get back to quality clothing and less of it, so that she can live out of suitcases once we are successfully in a post-covid era.

Alison is wishing for, and is preemptively obsessed, with Good American jeans. The sustainable, inclusive fashion brand co-founded by Khloe Kardashian has all of Alison’s soon to be favorite items. Lulu is really wishing for a signature scent. She was really hoping it would be Maison Louis Marie’s No.4 Bois De Balincourt. But when she bought a second bottle, it smelled completely different to her. So she is on the hunt again. Any suggestions hit her up on Instagram or Facebook.

Lulu has already done Cleveland, but she’s going for take two here this week. For this second time around Lulu is excited to stay at The Schofield, a boutique Kimpton hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. She is going for opulent luxury in the sky with her reservation of the 3,000 square foot three-bedroom penthouse apartment suite. Boasting 2.5 baths, a large, fully quipped kitchen, and expansive views across the city through floor-to-ceiling windows, this suite could not be any better for Lulu. Especially once she discovered there is an acoustic guitar in the suite for “in-room jam sessions”. There’s also a fireplace and a free-standing tub, so they may have to forcibly remove Lulu from this room come check-out time.

No trip to Cleveland would be complete without a visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Learn and see and experience everything about America’s favorite music genre and more here. Plus, you can currently vote for its 2021 inductees until May 5th! Some of the nominees include Carole King, Iron Maiden, Jay-Z, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, and Dionne Warwick!

She is headed to the Cleveland Museum of Art to take in the works of Bruce Davidson, American documentary photographer often published in Life Magazine. His exhibit features 50 photos of his time spent with the youth street gangs in NYC in the late 50’s. Lulu thinks this is really interesting, but wants some help understanding the art of photography, so hires local Cleveland brand photographer Kamron Khan to come along with her as an impromptu guide of sorts.

Lulu makes a quick stop for a souvenir at Urban Planting in the form of a Romano cactus that she’ll ask them to repot in a decorative ceramic planter she’ll bring in with her. She also pays them $1500 to create a custom moss work of the 10K Dollar Day logo.

Lulu closes out her evening with a tasting menu with wine pairing at Dante, the eponymous restaurant of Michelin-starred chef Dante Boccuzzi.

Alison is headed to Mansfield, Ohio where she is staying at Landoll’s Mohican Castle. Now if you want the feel of staying in a castle, definitely opt for one of their suites. Alison selects Macbeth Cottage, which while on the outside gives off some witch-in-the-wood vibes, it’s interiors are cozy and contemporary (literally, there are teal llama pillows in the bedroom). Quaint and quiet, the cottage whas a petite-yet-open floor plan, a jacuzzi bathtub. and a private deck with a hot tub. Now, seeing as she is staying on castle grounds, Alison decides to live like royalty and adds on four of their “stay enhancement” packages!

  • The Romance Package includes roses, silk rose petals (all the allure, none of the mess), a box of chocolates, and a bottle of wine or champagne. $130

  • The Special Occasion Package includes a fresh flower arrangement, balloons, a box of chocolates, and bath salts. $75

  • The Movie Lover’s Package comes with a basket full of movie snacks, beer or soda, and 2 DVD rentals. $55

  • Lastly, she opts for the A Taste of Mohican Castle Package which includes a basket of local Amish made meats, cheeses, and sweets, and a bottle of wine. $110

So now that her accommodation and all of her sips, snacks, and sweets needs have been met, it’s time to adventure into her Northern Ohio destination. First stop is an All-American breakfast at Mansfield Family Restaurant.

Alison has planned a day full of unique outings, each with a themed costume change. First up is the BibleWalk, Ohio's only life-sized wax museum, with over 300+ wax figures in exhibits like “The Life of Christ”, “Miracles of the Old Testament”, and “History of The Reformation”. Started by a pastor in 1983 with a bunch of re-purposed wax figures from closed exhibits, Alison is going to meander this museum while wearing a $2,000 Etsy gown inspired by Oshun, the goddess of sensuality. She found it by googling “sexy bible costume”.

Alison’s next stop is the Mansfield Motor Speedway, which has been closed and sold to be parceled off for industrial use, but before that happens, Alison is putting on this very detailed Lady Deadpool Leather Costume she got from Etsy for $475+ and renting a race car to tear up the track!

Third on her list of eccentrically-costumed excursions is the Ohio State Reformatory, the prison made famous by The Shawshank Redemption. It has been out of commission since 1990, but you can now visit and take all kinds of interesting tours, like the Inmate Confessions Tour, where you sit down for a hour-long discussion with a previous inmate. They also have paranormal activity tours, like the Public Ghost Hunt, where you are divided into groups based on your ghost-hunting skills (seriously) and wander the ward from 7pm to 3am! Luckily pizza and beverages are provided to keep you alert! Alison rocks this Friday the 13th Etsy costume so that if she does encounter a ghost she’s more likely to scare it than the other way around.

Alison is so stoked that you can rent out the Warden’s Dining Room of this former prison for events of up to 15 people. She gets food catered in from The Skyway East, a well-loved fine dining establishment in Mansfield known for its steak and seafood.
