Lucerne, Switzerland + Coney Island, New York

Alison is currently in rehearsals for Pippin at freeFall Theatre in St. Pete. She is talking dance rehearsals, and is hoping that her performance will impress her dancer daughter, Emma.

Stay tuned for our next video episode, we just filmed in front of a live audience this week at Penguin Entertainment in Orlando. We got connected to Penguin Entertainment through our 10K Dollar Bae and guest googler, Andrea Canny. Next week the video will release, where you will get to see us do a live episode in front of friends, friends of friends, and a few strangers who, after an hour or so of a BYOB hang, felt more like old pals.

By the way, we would love to do this in any city, so if you'd like us to come do a show near you, hit us up on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter!

10K Dollar Day OBSESSIONS

Alison is obsessed with Diet Dr. Pepper. She used to never drink soda, but when she was on Keto, she was craving sweets, so she gave a Diet Dr. Pepper a try.

Lulu is obsessed with a book she just finished. She is so obsessed with The Porpoise by Mark Haddon that she is going to start reading it again right away. If you are reading this book, please chat with her on the Bae page because she is dying to talk about it. Maybe we should start a 10K Book Club. Anyone interested??

10K Dollar Day WISHLIST

Alison wishes for a reset button. Like you could just restart your day. You know when you have those days where everything from your coffee to your workout to your kids attitude is just off? For Alison these kind of days always ends with a lack of wine at the house after all the stores have closed. So she would like a restart option for those kind of days, pretty please. Lulu wants to put together a concert. She's setting a goal to have this happen by the end of the year. And you know she isn’t one to say her goals out loud. So let’s make this happen!

It is rare for Lulu to have difficulty with a pronunciation, but she struggles ever so momentarily with the name of her hotel, Château Gütsch. But she pronounces umlaut with such beautiful diction that we're giving her this one. This glamorously luxurious hotel was founded in 1879, and has a railway that brings you to Lucerne and back in under 2 minutes. Lulu is staying in the Alexander Suite, which has a golden four poster bed, a bathtub in a castle tower with views, a private terrace on two sides of the room. This sounds like a literal dream doesn't it? And they offer free soft drinks and advertise their A/C, big selling points for Alison and Lulu, respectively. Her first activity of the day is the Fräkigaudi alpine slide, the longest summer toboggan run in Switzerland. Steep curves and intense jumps down a mountain give Lulu a wild time. We can hear the screams now.

For lunch she heads to Max Chocolatier. A chocolate tasting for lunch, because let's be honest we would all do that. In addition to eating delectable treats, she gets to pour chocolate bars and stamp truffles. Oh, and she buys a Chocodor, which is like a humidor that keeps cigars at optimal temperature and humidity, except for your chocolates. That is so very 10K. Even better, you can get a subscription service where they send you refill truffles for your Chocodor. Yes, yes, yes!!

Sticking with the Swiss souvenir bit, she heads to Bucherer where she gets the Carl F. Bucherer Manero watch for $4,000. The most expensive watch they offer is the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Skeleton Double Flying Tourbillon, which comes to a whopping $335,000. Alison counters that one could use that money to pay for multiple assistants whose job it is to constantly tell you the time. Too true. With her extravagant souvenir shopping, Lulu is almost out of money and all that is left to do is go to dinner. She wines and dines at Old Swiss House, where fresh smoked salmon and crepe suzettes are on the menu. Day well done!

Being that tomorrow is the Fourth of July, Alison looks up "best places to go for July 4th". First result was Coney Island, the renowned seaside neighborhood full of nostalgia, kitsch, and attractions, while only an hour away from Manhattan. Alison's choosing of Coney Island is solidified when she discovers it is the 100th anniversary of the annual Nathan's Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest. Obviously her first move is to fly Lulu up to join her, via Delta One, which if you haven't heard of, it is a serious upgrade from first class. We're talking lay-flat beds, unlimited free booze, and complimentary Kiehl's products. Heaven in the sky. Now for her stay, she found possibly the biggest Airbnb ever. Located in a gated community, it has 14 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. I mean its only for her and Lulu, but why not? Actually, how about any Baes in the NYC area come stay with them!

Breakfast is at Cafe Gossip, complete with eggs benedict - a 10K fave - and a mimosa…or five. Bummed that she can't enter the contest even imaginarily, as you have to qualify, she is still excited to watch the National Hot Dog Contest. The grossness and glories of competitive eating are discussed, as the awe that 40,000 people come to watch this sets in. The girls visit the New York Aquarium and then head to a controversial attraction. Sideshows by the Seashore is the last permanently housed traditional ten-in-one circus sideshow in the US. The website advertises - "They're here, they're real and they're alive! Freaks, wonders and human curiosities!". Alison whines when Lulu expresses that she doesn't feel like supporting this, she may just skip this outing that Alison is oh-so-excited about. Both ladies present fair points for their arguments for and against. Listen in around minute 31:00 and decide for yourself.

Moving on, they head to Luna Park where they are both excited to ride the rollercoasters, then its on to lunch at Place To Beach. They share ceviche nachos and get a couple of drinks at this spot that literally is Alison personified in a restaurant. Before leaving Luna Park, they do a little shopping at Last Stop Coney Island. While Lulu may have splurged thousands on a Swiss chocolates and a timepiece, a couple hundred bucks spent on some cheesy memorabilia is always fun.

They head to the Brooklyn Cyclones game, where they enjoy a Luxury 12-person suite all to themselves. They are unsure what sport they will be watching, but the included food and booze is very enticing. Okay fine, they'll invite some NYC friends to join them. Finally, to top off this fun-filled day, they head out for a night with Freedom Cruises. Food, family-friendly drinks, yet a cash bar which of course Alison reserves money for.
